welcome
My name’s Ben; I’m an Australian teacher, writer, and translator. I trained in environmental political theory and law at Columbia University and Yale Law School as a Monash Scholar (Australia's Marshall/Rhodes). My CV is here.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford, at the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society in partnership with the Doerr School of Environment. I came to Stanford from a lectureship in political theory at Columbia, and after having served as Founding Convener of the Columbia Climate Imaginations Network (CCIN): a community of creative people who support and inspire one another to imagine just, resilient and dynamic climate futures. CCIN has now evolved into the New York Climate Imaginarium, on Governors Island, and I'm glad to serve as an advisor there.
